Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Exe Enterprises, An Everything Company L.L.C. ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on our website at aneverythingcompany.org. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
By continuing to use our site after seeing our cookie notice, you consent to the limited browser storage described below.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to remember information between visits. Local storage is a related browser technology that saves a small value in your browser without sending it to a server. Both can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
We use these technologies sparingly and only for the purposes described here. Exe Enterprises never uses them to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. Google, as our advertising partner, does set its own cookies for ad measurement and personalization — that is described in Section 5 below, along with how to turn it off.
The only browser storage Exe Enterprises sets directly is a single consent-preference value:
- Cookie / value name:
exe_cookie_ok - Type: Browser local storage (a preference flag, not a tracking cookie)
- Purpose: Remembers that you have dismissed the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every page or visit
- Contains personal data? No. It holds a simple value and is never transmitted to us or any third party
- Duration: Persists until you clear your browser storage
We also run our own first-party page counter to count page views. It is deliberately cookieless: it sets nothing in your browser, does not fingerprint your device, and cannot follow you to other sites. It records the page, the referring domain, your country and a broad device type. It does not store your IP address — that is hashed with the date and a secret key so it changes daily. It tells us that a page was viewed — not who viewed it.
Exe Enterprises itself sets no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, session recording, or fingerprinting. Advertising cookies on our pages come from Google AdSense, our ad partner — see Section 5.
Our website is served through a third-party hosting and content-delivery network. For security, performance, and abuse prevention, that infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies (for example, to manage HTTPS connections, balance traffic, or mitigate bots) and may collect aggregated, anonymized request data. These are operational cookies required to deliver the site securely and do not identify you personally or retain personal information with Exe Enterprises.
Our public pages load Google's AdSense script. Google is an independent advertising network, and it may set or read its own cookies and similar identifiers in your browser in order to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, detect invalid traffic, and — depending on your Google account settings — personalize which ads you see across the web.
These cookies are placed and controlled by Google, not by Exe Enterprises. We cannot read them, we do not receive the data Google collects through them, and we never combine them with anything you tell us directly through booking, the contact form, or the chat widget.
You have real control over this:
- Turn off personalized ads at Google My Ad Center. Ads still appear, but stop being tailored to you.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or use an ad/tracker blocker. Our site is fully functional either way — nothing behind the ads breaks.
- Read Google's own disclosure at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Our advertising relationship with Google is also declared publicly in our ads.txt file, as the IAB standard requires.
Our online shop is an affiliate storefront. Product links take you to Amazon.com. When you click one of these links, Amazon may place its own cookies in your browser to attribute any resulting purchase to Exe Enterprises so we can earn a qualifying commission at no extra cost to you.
These cookies are set and controlled by Amazon, not by us. We do not receive your payment information, shipping address, or order details. Amazon's use of cookies is governed entirely by Amazon's own privacy and cookie notices. As an Amazon Associate, Exe Enterprises earns from qualifying purchases.
When you follow a link from our site to an external service, that service may set its own cookies under its own policies. This includes, among others:
- Square and PayPal — payment for services, when applicable
- Referral / partner platforms — affiliate links on our Referrals page may set attribution cookies through their own programs
- Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok — if you visit our social profiles
Exe Enterprises does not control these third-party cookies. We do not embed third-party social-media trackers or share buttons that collect your data on our own pages. Please review each provider's cookie and privacy policy for details.
Our on-site AI chat widget ("Exe Assistant") keeps your current conversation in your browser's memory only for the duration of your session so the chat can function. Chat content is processed to generate replies but is not stored by Exe Enterprises or linked to your identity. Please do not enter sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, passwords, or full payment card details) into the chat.
You are always in control. You can:
- Clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time (doing so will reset our cookie notice, which will reappear on your next visit)
- Block or limit cookies using your browser's privacy controls
- Use private/incognito browsing to avoid persistent storage
- Opt out of interest-based ads from Amazon and other companies through their respective settings
Because we rely on essentially no non-essential cookies on our own pages, blocking cookies will not break the core functionality of this site, though some third-party features (like booking or affiliate attribution) may behave differently.
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Updates will be shown by a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
